FHP & AHEC to Co-host a Career Expo on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019

Foundation Health Partners (FHP) and Interior Area Health Education Center (AHEC) are co-hosting a career expo for all ages on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019.

The Health Care Careers Rock! Career Expo is an opportunity for students to explore a variety of health care career fields, participate in hands-on activities, and meet health care professionals. All age groups are welcome to attend; children, high school students, college students, and anyone interested in health care careers or those who want to learn more about Fairbanks Memorial Hospital (FMH).

Featured departments will display their specialties with engaging hands-on activities. Last year’s expo featured a demonstration of real pig lungs to touch and see how they work, suturing and EKGs. FHP’s Talent Acquisition/Student Services department will be available to offer professional guidance and advice on how students can start preparing for future health care careers now.

The expo is a free event and takes place Monday, Nov. 4 from 2:30-6:30 p.m. in the McGown Room at FMH.
