The Brooke Fisher Gift of Life Fund and Plaza

After the tragic loss of their daughter Brooke in a vehicle accident, Tom and Kris Fisher found solace in knowing that her decision to donate organs brought health, joy, and peace to others. In her memory, they established the Brooke Fisher Gift of Life Fund to support the organ donation process at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

This fund was instrumental in the creation of the Gift of Life Plaza, a beautiful monument located at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. At the request of donor families, plaques engraved with the names of organ donors cared for at the hospital are displayed, honoring their life-saving contributions.

Supporting Families Through the Process

While families are never charged for organ procurement, the hospital incurs associated costs. The Brooke Fisher Gift of Life Fund helps to offset these expenses, ensuring that families receive the support they need during this challenging time.

The Donate Life Flag:
A Symbol of Hope and Remembrance

When the Donate Life flag is raised at the Gift of Life Plaza, it signifies that someone has made the profound choice to give through organ donation. The flag flies for 3 days to honor the donor’s incredible gift and serves as a national symbol of unity, remembrance, and hope.
By supporting the Brooke Fisher Gift of Life Fund, you contribute to a legacy of compassion and healing, helping to honor those who give the gift of life.
