Fairbanks Ice dogs Hockey Team to Stick it to Cancer

Stick it to Cancer

2020 marks the 9th year the Fairbanks Hospital Foundation is partnering with the Fairbanks Ice dogs Hockey Team to Stick it to Cancer.

This always thrilling 3 game series is a fundraiser for the Circle of Hope campaign that provides support to cancer patients and those that care for them in our community. Cancer patients, survivors and their families are celebrated all weekend long. There are ceremonial puck droppers and commemorative jerseys that are auctioned off at each game.

Stick it to Cancer is great hockey and great support for the Circle of Hope. The Hospital Foundation looks forward to this event each year and appreciates this partnership with our home town, Fairbanks Ice Dogs.

Plant Sale

Hospice Plant Sale

The largest fundraiser of the year for Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Hospice Services has always been the Annual Hospice Plant Sale.

Money generated from the fundraiser are placed in a designated fund for Hospice patients. Donations of plants for the event, as well as volunteers are always welcome.

The 2019 plant sale will take place on:

Date: Saturday, May 25, 2019
Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Fiddle Fest

Far North Fiddle Fest

Each September musicians from around the world gather in Fairbanks, Alaska to delight an audience of many with the infections sounds of Irish, folk and bluegrass music and dancing.

The brainchild of Dr. Andrew Cox, the Far North Fiddle Fest (FNFF) is a benefit for Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Hospice Services and a salute to the organizations volunteers. The festival that spans several days offers small group workshops on dancing and various instruments to the community, performs at many of the local schools and culminates in a wonderful performance.

This year’s FNFF is scheduled for September 12-15, 2019 and will include artists Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, Duo Duo Quartet and Alasdair Fraser. The event is perfect for all ages. We hope you will be able to attend!

Perinatal Bereavement Bake Sale and Auction

Each December the nurses from the Women’s and Infant Center at FMH hold a bake sale and silent auction for the benefit of the Perinatal Bereavement program at FMH.

This program is very near and dear to the hearts of all of the nurses involved and funding for the program comes only from donations and activities like this bake sale. We welcome baked goods and auction items from the community!

We invite the community to attend. Watch for this year’s date!
