Andrea Gelvin, Emeritus

Andrea has been a Trustee on the Foundation board since 1990. She was born and raised in Fairbanks and is a graduate of The University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Andrea lived in Central for 15 years and while there obtained emergency medical training so that she could assist her family and neighbors in a community that had no health care. Andrea is a Health/Science Teacher for the Alaska Learning Network and was named BP Teacher of the Year in 2004. Andrea has 3 children and 7 grandchildren and enjoys table tennis and volunteering as a firefighter and EMT.
