Far North Fiddle Fest

Every September, musicians from around the world gather in Fairbanks, Alaska, to fill the air with the infectious sounds of Irish, folk, and bluegrass music. The week-long celebration, known as the Far North Fiddle Fest (FNFF), features lively performances and heartwarming community engagement, all culminating in a final concert the whole family can enjoy.

About FNFF

The Far North Fiddle Fest was founded by Dr. Andrew Cox of the J. Michael Carroll Cancer Center, who wanted to share his love for this joyful music and dance with the Fairbanks community. Throughout the week, musicians visit local schools, perform for Denali Center residents, and lead intimate workshops that teach the skills of this upbeat genre.

A Cause Close to Our Hearts

This event is more than just music. It’s a heartfelt tribute to the volunteers of Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Hospice Services, with proceeds benefiting the Hospice program. The Far North Fiddle Fest is an opportunity for the community to come together in support of a wonderful cause while enjoying the uplifting spirit of traditional music.
