Who makes up The Hospital Foundation?

The Hospital Foundation membership includes a wide variety of people from many facets of the community, all of whom share a common interest in providing healthcare to Fairbanks and Interior Alaska. The Hospital Foundation members elect Trustees who govern The Hospital Foundation's business and oversee the Foundation Health Partner's operation of the hospital campus for the community.

Trustees are not paid or compensated for the hundreds, sometimes thousands, of hours they commit to the Foundation. Trustees work closely with executive leadership from Tanana Valley Clinic (TVC), Fairbanks Memorial Hospital (FMH), and Denali Center, as well as local, state, and federal leaders to increase access and ensure the availability of quality healthcare services for the Fairbanks community and all of the interior.

Hospital Operations

On January 1, 2017, Foundation Health Partners, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation, became the new operator of Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, Denali Center, and Tanana Valley Clinic. For the first time in history, Tanana Valley Clinic, Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, and Denali Center are locally owned AND operated. GFCHF and Foundation Health Partners are governed by a board of 13 members who share their expertise in finance, construction/engineering, information technology, government affairs, and medicine/health care for the betterment of our hospital and community.
